Terms of use
These terms govern your use of the Shell Click macOS app, its bundled local MCP server, and this website.
Effective July 26, 2026
Acceptance
By downloading, purchasing, or using Shell Click, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app or bundled MCP server.
License
Shell Click grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the app. A purchased lifetime license may be activated on up to two Macs at a time. You may not resell, sublicense, redistribute, or make the app or your license key available to others.
Trial and purchases
The free trial provides access for the period stated when you download it. Paid licenses are sold as one-time purchases unless the checkout states otherwise. Payments and any eligible refunds are processed by our payment provider under the terms presented at checkout. Prices, taxes, and promotions may change before purchase.
Your commands and responsibilities
Shell Click runs commands you provide in folders you select. You are responsible for reviewing those commands, understanding their effects, keeping appropriate backups, and ensuring you have permission to access affected files, systems, and services. Do not use Shell Click for unlawful, harmful, or unauthorized activity.
MCP access
The bundled MCP server can let compatible local tools manage and run your saved commands. You are responsible for which tools you connect and the actions you authorize. Treat commands created or changed through an MCP client as you would commands entered directly in Terminal.
Third-party tools and services
Commands may invoke third-party software or services. Purchases are processed by our payment provider. Those products and services are governed by their own terms, and Shell Click is not responsible for their availability, content, or behavior.
Updates and availability
A lifetime license means continued use of the purchased app; it does not guarantee that every future feature, operating-system version, or third-party integration will remain available. Shell Click may be updated, changed, suspended, or discontinued.
Ownership
Shell Click and its software, design, branding, and website content are protected by intellectual-property laws. These terms do not transfer ownership of Shell Click to you. You retain ownership of your commands, files, and other content.
No warranty
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Shell Click is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or suitable for every command or environment. Nothing in these terms limits rights that cannot legally be excluded.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Shell Click and its creator will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost data, profits, revenue, or business opportunities arising from use of the app. Total liability for any claim will not exceed the amount you paid for Shell Click.
Termination
Your license ends if you materially breach these terms. If that happens, you must stop using and delete the app. Provisions that by their nature should continue—including ownership, warranty disclaimers, and liability limits—survive termination.
Changes and contact
These terms may be updated as Shell Click changes. Material updates will appear here with a new effective date. For questions about these terms, use the support contact listed on the Shell Click website.
